Last week, Violet and I saved our zinnia seeds together!
We simply pulled the seeds out of our dried flowers, and scooped them into our homemade seed packets.
I must say, it was sooo satisfying to use seed packets that I designed and printed myself.
Not only did it make the seeds feel extra-loved, it just felt… like I was putting my drawing skills to practical use.
I’m hoping to find more ways to draw printables for our home over the years!
(If you’d like to make some seed packets, too, the printables are available in my shop!)
But anyways, as we were pulling apart our flowers, it felt like a shame to waste the pretty dried petals.
So we pulled out some contact paper, cut it into circles, and Violet worked on a petal collage!
We decided to laminate her collages and hang them in the windows.
They look so charming, and she loves standing in the window and examining the petals through the sunlight.
Such a fun way to stretch simple materials from around the house 🙂
Have you ever made suncatchers with your kids?
I’d love to hear what materials you used!
