  • About to block my first knitted sweater!! ☺️✨ Feels exciting, but also rejuvenating to indulge in this calm and beautiful ritual after a long week. 💙
  • New mom-win! I have started to keep an easy #WIP in the dining room so that I can knit while I’m waiting for Violet to finish her meals. Sometimes she picks at her food and I’m rushing to scarf my lunch 😅 but other times.. she takes foreeeeever to eat, and I get so bored I end up rudely scrolling on my phone.. 🙈🤪🤷🏻‍♀️.. But then I realized: knitting isn’t rude! I can talk and knit at the same time! 🙌🏼💕 It’s been working out really well for both of us. 😊

Pattern: #waitingforrainshawl by @life_is_cozy 👌🏼
Yarn: My own hand dyed! I used #knitpicks “bare hare” in fingering weight as a base ✨
  • 🤣😂 OMG!! Did you see my photo of the 🍫kiss I crocheted for my husband? WELL... his colleagues photographed it and retouched it to look like a real Hershey’s kiss!!! Dyeing of laughter over here!! 👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼🙌🏼 Haha Happy Valentines Day, everyone. 😄❤️

  • ❤️✨ My loves! 🥰
  • Happy Valentines Day!! I couldn’t help myself and made my husband a new desk mate that will remind him of our looooove 😂🥰👌🏼
.
What’s even funnier is that his company @oms.photo does commercial photography for Hershey’s (including their kisses)!! So this little guy will fit right in! 😅❤️

Ravelry Pattern: “Hershey’s Kiss” by Heather Jarmusz @groanygirl 👏🏼✨
  • It’s so fascinating to discover what little self-care strategies work for my daughter. Because often, her favorite simple pleasures are just the same as mine!! Like a cup of hot tea, rolling on some lavender oil, or in today’s case: changing into a soft cozy outfit and doing your hair real cute. 😄❤️ ...she was a BEAR of a toddler this morning, until I started paying actual attention to her and helped her put on a cute new headband! 💕 ..and OMG, she was DELIGHTED with her reflection in the mirror!! And so sweet! (...Finally. 🤨😂👏🏼) And the morning got a little happier for us both! 🥰🙌🏼✨
.
I’m hoping to slowly teach her how to identify these simple pleasures and use them to her advantage in life. 👌🏼❤️ wouldn’t it be amazing to have a handle on self-care from a young age?
.
What are some of your kids’ favorite little pick-me-ups? I’m interested to hear! 🤗
  • A drawing that turned into a sweet valentine for my Violet 💕 ..I think I’ll print one and write her a little love note in the back for her special keepsake box! ☺️
.
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day with your kids? I would love to start some kind of tradition!
  • Rainy week here, but I’ve been able to practice piano a bit more than usual, which feels sooo revitalizing! I’m not an amazing pianist or anything, but I took lessons for enough years to be competent, haha.
.
I love piano because for me it’s all about process over product. Like I’ll never want to turn piano into work or something I’d sell. You know? Plus, it feels so good on my brain to get in that flow mindset!
.
What hobbies do you love that are rejuvenating? And just totally about the creative process? I am really interested in this self-care topic right now!
