Upcycled Kid’s Art: DIY Bookmarks

Violet has been doing a lot more painting and drawing these days, and I wanted to make something useful out of her artwork.

So we cut some of her big paintings into strips, laminated them, added simple tassels, and made bookmarks!

We wrote a little note on the back of each one, such as “To: Daddy, Love: Violet, 2019”

They’re so sweet! I think this will be one of our go-to gifts from now on. It’s so nice to give something practical yet homemade. Plus, we can put those stacks of random paintings to good use 🙂

Do you repurpose your children’s art? I’d love to hear more ideas in the comments!
